Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail Session

Join us in the Taybank Gardens for a live session from the folks behind the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail. The Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail is a paid summer job and professional development opportunity for outstanding young traditional musicians aged 16 to 25.

Fèis Rois established its successful Ceilidh Trail programme in Ross-Shire in 2000. This project has since gone from strength to strength and now provides opportunities for young musicians from across Scotland to perform in locations across the country and further afield. Taking place in July and August, the Ceilidh Trail provides visitors to Scotland, and locals alike, with the opportunity to experience authentic traditional Scottish music in a wide range of settings.

Many previous participants of the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail have gone onto carve out successful careers in the Scottish music industry. These include Mairearad Green, Rachel Newton, Kim Carnie, Iona Fyfe, Calum McIlroy, and Conal McDonagh to name but a few.

Donations are welcome on the day.
