We have a full programme of events and music sessions coming up in the coming months. Our singing barman, Donny McElligott, leads the Monday night session - an eclectic mix of old and new tunes and every second Wednesday is our fabulous Open Mic Night. And every Thursday, Pete Clark leads the Fiddle Session in the bar from 8.30pm. For further info, please contact us on 01350 727340.
February Sunday 5th - The Jazz Jam - Bruce Michie leads our amazing Sunday Jazz Jam from 3-6pm(ish) - amplified session in the bar to which all jazz musicians are more than welcome to come and join. And all non-musicians can end their weekend in style with a nice meal, a wee drinkie or two and some fabulous entertainment!!! Sunday 19th - Blues Sunday - Perthshire's finest blues musicians will gather here to entertain the masses with a fantastic afternoon of music.... Wednesday 22nd - Sunday 26th - THE TAYBANK'S DREICH END FESTIVAL - A wee festival to say goodbye to the dreich of the winter!! All the events are free, however we are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Perth Royal Infirmary so any donations will be very much appreciated. Wednesday 22nd - Open Mic Night - Donny leads our fabulous Open Mic Night in the bar - any singers and/or musicians are more than welcome to come and strut their stuff - starting around 8.00pm Thursday 23rd - Pete Clark's Fiddle Session - Mr Clark leads a traditional fiddle session in the bar from 8.30pm - all musicians welcome. Friday 24th - The Boos Bros - playing live in the bar from 9pm - a fantastic band - not to be missed! Saturday 25th - The Jamie Harper Band - are joining us again due to popular demand! Make sure you've got your dancing shoes on for this one!!! Sunday 26th - The Music Marathon - The festival finale - 12 hours non-stop live music in the bar from 11am - 11pm - all musicians are invited to come and keep the music going for the full 12 hours!!!!! March Sunday 4th - The Jazz Jam Friday 16th - Sunday 18th - The Niel Gow Festival 2012 - A fantastic weekend of fiddle concerts and recitals in various locations in and around the village as well as fiddle, cello, guitar, flute & whistle and fiddle making workshops held at The Taybank. Sunday 18th - Blues Sunday Friday 30th - Kieran Halpin - playing live in the bar from 8.30pm - not to be missed! April Sunday 1st - The Jazz Jam Friday 6th - SLIDER - BACK BY HUUUGE DEMAND - ROCKING START TO EASTER WEEKEND - NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!
